‘Win a Home in Dingle’ draw will now take place on 7th October 2022
Our ‘Win a Home in Dingle’ fundraiser is a once in a lifetime project for our town, being run by CLG Daingean Uí Chúis, to help raise funds for the creation of a multi-faceted community development and to raise monies for Kerry Hospice Foundation. We are most grateful to everyone who has so generously supported our fundraiser.
We had ambitions to sell 12,000 tickets. While we are very proud of how the fundraiser has performed (approximately 10,800 tickets sold), we have ultimately fallen short of our goal in the original timeline that we set. We appreciate that this might not seem like a huge deficit; however, our planned infrastructural works are likely to cost circa €1.5m and therefore it is imperative that we secure as much funding as possible via this fundraiser.
We promised our community that we would deliver better facilities for the children of the Dingle Peninsula and the generations yet to come. We are committed to keeping this promise. With this in mind, and having consulted with key community stakeholder groups, we have taken the very difficult decision to extend our draw in order to attain our goals.
We would like to assure you, that regardless of how the fundraiser performs over the next 9 weeks, one winner(s) will walk away with the keys to a beautiful home in Dingle, or one of the other beautiful prizes kindly sponsored by Liam O Neill, Dingle Skellig Hotel, Brian De Staic and Holden Leather Goods on Friday, 7th of October 2022. We invite you all to join us in person on this date to celebrate what will be a memorable night for not only the various prize winners but for the community of the Dingle Peninsula as we mark what will be a monumental step in our journey towards delivering improved community facilities. The event will also be live streamed.
Finally, we would like to take the opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to our loyal volunteers for their incredible efforts since the start of this fundraising campaign – without you none of what we have achieved would be possible.
